|Other Local Actions||Roads – Primary routes have been run again this afternoon. Traffic is now generally running OK on main roads, although there are still some isolated areas of drifting snow present on these roads. Known areas of difficulty, including Charing Hill, A252 from Charing through to Challock, A251 from Challock down to Boughton Aluph.
Primaries are due to be run again this evening and tomorrow morning. No action on Secondary routes as resources are being concentrated onto the Primary network .
Pavements – Town centre areas of Ashford and key footbridges and underpasses have been treated during the day
Saltbins – Salt Bins will be refilled in response to enquiries but only as resources allow

Pavements – Hand salting crews continuing to clear and salt, dealing with Herne Bay, Whitstable and Canterbury city centre areas, A2990 and A299 footbridges and subways, hospital routes. No overnight work planned

|Other local Actions||Roads – Primary routes have been treated and those in the east of the district remain clear.
Some more westerly routes are experiencing problem with drifting snow (B2046 A2 to Wingham and north of Wingham up to the A253 at Monkton). These routes are being patrolled by farmers and will be patrolled by gritters and ploughs overnight.
Some farmers have been out dealing with drifting snow in many parishes across the district.

|Other local Actions||Roads – E20 instructed action in morning. Ploughing carried out to treat snow drifts on primary routes -A227 Wrotham Road (Meopham to Istead Rise), A226 Gravesend Road, Lower Higham road. All primary routes to be treated as instructed during evening and patrolling as required.
Instructed action to treat some of the secondary routes. Particular concern for Luddesdown& Harvel areas. Local action taken to plough and grit. Church Street, Higham – farmer to plough this afternoon followed by gritting/ plough this evening ( resident requires to attend hospital for Dialysis tomorrow)
Secondary routes in Northfleet and those with gradients being treated to improve access.

|Maidstone||Road Closures||Lidsing Road, Bredhurst closed high drifts between Forge Lane and Hampstead Lane
A20 Lenham – closed RTC avoid area affecting Forstal Road at Lenham Heath being used as an alternative route. Farmers with snow ploughs and snow blower deployed to try and clear. This will be patrolled throughout the night with the gritter to maintain.
Harp Farm Road, Boxley closed
Yelstead Lane, Boxley closed
Chegworth Road, Broomfield closed as a result of abandoned vehicles.
|Other Local Actions||Roads – Ulcombe Hill is now passable with care.
All A roads and strategic network now has been driven and are clear. Farmers have been in contact and where necessary roads have been ploughed.
Detling Hill A249 and Blue Bell Hill A229 will continue to be patrolled this evening and through the night until 7am. Please reduce your speeds if using this route.
Pavements – Town footways continue to be cleared thanks to the co-ordinated working with Maidstone Borough Council.
Pedestrianised areas have been cleared in Staplehurst, Lenham and Headcorn where possible.
|Sevenoaks||Road Closures||Hogtrough Hill – fallen Tree – Please be aware of drifting snow particularly in exposed areas and many minor routes will need to be travelled with extreme care|
|Other Local Actions||Roads – Our fleet of gritters are continuing to treat the primary routes and the farmers are continuing to plough some rural routes in accordance with our snow plough agreements, especially in areas where we are experiencing drifting snow conditions.
Pavements – Hand salting of access to town centres, emergency services, and main transport hub footways continues across the District. We currently have hand salting resources deployed in Sevenoaks Town, Westerham, Sundridge, Brasted, Otford, Riverhead, Penshurst and Halstead.
Saltbins – We have all our current resource utilised dealing with the listed priorities. We will look to allocate resource to salt bin filling as soon as we are able as this is a lower priority

|Other Local Actions||Roads – Primary routes are clear. Issues with B2068 Stone Street with drifting snow; the area from Thorn Lane, Stelling Minnis through to Lower Hadres (Canterbury) has been ploughed. This will be monitored as the winds continue.

Pavements – All clear – Veolia has confirmed business as usual and no hand salting is being undertaken as no snow in town centres. Confirmed by Hythe Town Council all footways and carriageways are good.
Saltbins – No action taken but more and more requests are coming in for bins to be refilled. District manager collating information.

|Other Local Actions||Roads – All primary routes are currently passable with the exception of A251 due to heavy drifting of snow, in the areas of Sheldwich and Badlesmere.
Church Road, Eastchurch is being manned to control traffic as road is currently reduced in width by drifts.
Pavements – Operatives, are carrying out clearance of snow by hand today at Sheerness, Queenborough, Sittingbourne, Newington and Faversham – town centres, and hospitals / doctors surgeries
Saltbins – Works ongoing to refill salt bins in priority order, as resources permit.

|Other Local Actions|| Roads – Primary routes are generally clear but there are some accumulations where drifting is occurring with some significant. Secondary routes not treated passable with care. Minor network snow covered with many roads that are difficult to drive on. Gritter with plough is patrolling areas where drifting is significant on primary network such as A28 and Brooksend Hill.
Farmers are continuously ploughing where drifting is constant.
Pavements – Generally snow covered 25mm – 50mm depth.
District Council crews have been treating town centre areas.
QEQM Hospital frontages treated.
Saltbins – Reports coming in of empty bins will be filled when resource allows.
